Kon Kan is a Canadian synth-pop project that emerged from Toronto, Ontario, in 1988. The brainchild of Barry Harris (producer, vocals, keyboards, guitar), Kon Kan became known for its innovative blend of rock, new wave, and synthpop. The group achieved international acclaim with their debut album Move to Move, which featured the hit single "I Beg Your Pardon", renowned for its creative sampling of Lynn Anderson's "Rose Garden". Harris continued to evolve the project's sound through subsequent albums like Syntonic and Vida!, solidifying Kon Kan's place in the new wave pop landscape.
