Los Shakers were a pioneering rock band from Uruguay, formed in the mid-1960s by brothers Hugo Fattoruso (lead guitar, keyboards) and Osvaldo Fattoruso (rhythm guitar). The band, which also included Roberto "Pelín" Capobianco (bass) and Carlos "Caio" Vila (drums), is celebrated for its ability to capture the essence of the British Invasion sound, heavily influenced by The Beatles. They skillfully merged this with Latin American rhythms, creating a unique blend of rock, candombe, freakbeat, and classic garage rock. Los Shakers achieved significant popularity in Uruguay and Argentina, leaving a lasting impact on the Latin rock scene.

The sound of Los Shakers is characterized by jangly guitars and catchy melodies, reminiscent of early Beatles tracks.
