Marah is an American roots rock and Americana band hailing from Philadelphia, known for their vibrant blend of alt-country and rock elements. Formed in 1993, the group was initially a trio consisting of David Bielanko (vocals, guitar, banjo), Danny Metz (bass), and Ronnie Vance (drums). In 1995, David's brother, Serge Bielanko (guitar, vocals, harmonica), joined the lineup, adding a compelling dynamic to their sound.
