About

Mimi Maura is a vibrant musical group that skillfully blends elements of reggae, ska, and Latin rock to create a distinctive sound that resonates across Spanish-speaking regions and beyond. The group is fronted by Midnerely Acevedo, known as Mimi Maura, whose powerful and emotive vocals are at the heart of their music. Originating from Puerto Rico, Mimi Maura's collaborative spirit flourished when she teamed up with Sergio Rotman, a saxophonist from the legendary Argentine band Los Fabulosos Cadillacs. The band is rounded out by a talented lineup that includes Maxi Iglesias (bass), Maneco Saez (guitar), Leroy Rotman (drums), and Fernando Ricciardi (percussion). Their music often reflects themes of passion, identity, and cultural heritage, making them a staple in genres such as Argentine rock, rock en español, and Latin alternative.
