About
Straylight Run is an American rock band formed in May 2003, noted for their seamless blend of emo, indie rock, and piano rock elements. Originating from Baldwin, New York, the group was founded by former Taking Back Sunday members John Nolan (vocals, guitar) and Shaun Cooper (bass). They were joined by Nolan’s sister, Michelle DaRosa (vocals, keyboards), and Will Noon (drums). Straylight Run stands out with their introspective lyrics and a sound that veers away from the aggressive tones of their previous band, favoring a more contemplative and melodic approach.
