Strength in Numbers was a pioneering ensemble that brought together some of the most esteemed names in bluegrass and newgrass music. Formed as a side project from performances at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, the group consisted of Sam Bush (fiddle/mandolin), Jerry Douglas (dobro), Béla Fleck (guitar/banjo), Mark O'Connor (fiddle/guitar/mandolin), and Edgar Meyer (bass). With a unique blend of bluegrass, folk, and jazz influences, the band created a sound that was as virtuosic as it was innovative. Their singular album, Telluride Sessions, remains a landmark in the genre, capturing their seamless fusion of traditional and contemporary styles.
