Tavares is an American R&B, soul, and disco group that originated from New Bedford, Massachusetts. The group is comprised of five brothers: Arthur (vocals), Ralph Vierra (vocals), Perry Lee (vocals), Antone (vocals), and Feliciano Tavares (vocals), known by their nicknames "Pooch," "Tiny," "Chubby," and "Butch." They began their journey in 1964 under the name Chubby & the Turnpikes before adopting the Tavares name in 1969.
