About
The Gloria Record was an emo and post-hardcore band formed in Austin, Texas after the dissolution of the influential band Mineral in 1997. The group consisted of Chris Simpson (vocals, guitar), Jeremy Gomez (bass), Brian Hubbard (guitar), and Ben Houtman (keyboards). Drummers during their tenure included Matt Hammon and later Brian Malone. Known for blending emo with more acoustic and organic elements, The Gloria Record expanded the genre's boundaries, incorporating rich textures and introspective lyrics. Their work includes notable releases such as the self-titled EP and Start Here, which showcased their evolution into a more indie rock-inflected sound.

This is complemented by the dynamic use of overdrive, with the Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer enhancing the emotive power of their music. The Fender Bassman AB165 Amp contributes to their vintage, full-bodied sound, supporting their explorative blend of emo and indie rock.
