The group was initially formed by Jimmer Podrasky (lead vocals, guitar), Michael Kaniecki (guitar), George Carter (bass), and T.J. Junco (drums) while they were students at Carnegie Mellon University. Over the years, the lineup saw several changes, with Podrasky remaining the constant creative force.
