About
The Redwalls are a power pop and classic rock band hailing from Deerfield, Illinois. Originally formed in 2001 under the name The Pages, the group consists of Logan Baren (vocals, guitar), his brother Justin Baren (bass), Andrew Langer (lead guitar), and Jordan Kozer (drums), who was later replaced by Ben Greeno. Drawing inspiration from the British Invasion and the Beatles, The Redwalls quickly transitioned from a cover band to creating original music, garnering attention with their energetic performances and distinct retro sound.
How to Sound Like The Redwalls
To emulate The Redwalls' sound, focus on crafting a rich, melodic texture with a vintage flair. Their music is characterized by jangly guitar riffs and harmonious vocals, reminiscent of classic 60s rock. Achieving this involves using tube amplifiers to deliver warm, overdriven tones that complement their clean, melodic guitar lines. Incorporate analog delay pedals to add subtle depth and echo, enhancing the nostalgic feel of their arrangements. The bass should be punchy yet melodic, supporting the upbeat rhythm set by dynamic, snappy drumming. Overall, the sound balances clarity and warmth, echoing the timeless quality of their classic rock influences while maintaining a vibrant, engaging energy.
