The Unguided is a Swedish melodic metal band formed in 2010 by Richard Sjunnesson (vocals), Roger Sjunnesson (guitar), and Roland Johansson (vocals, guitar), all former members of Sonic Syndicate. The band emerged from a desire to blend heavy melodies with aggressive metal influences, crafting a unique sound within the genres of metalcore, melodic death metal, and melodic groove metal. After Roland Johansson's departure, Jonathan Thorpenberg joined as a vocalist and guitarist, helping the band evolve further. Known for their captivating personal and fantasy-driven themes, The Unguided has released albums such as Hell Frost, Fragile Immortality, And The Battle Royale, and Father Shadow, which have solidified their presence in the melodic metal scene.
