About
Tilly Birds is a dynamic Thai musical group known for their eclectic blend of Thai pop, rock, and hip hop. Formed in Bangkok, the band consists of three core members: Billy Chuchat (guitarist/producer), a YouTuber-turned-musician responsible for producing their distinctive sound; Anuroth Ketlekha (Third) (vocals), whose soulful voice and creative direction shape the band's lyrical and visual identity; and Milo Tanti (drums), a versatile drummer who brings rhythmic innovation and even raps in their compositions. Together, they create a sound that defies easy categorization, often described as "alternative" due to its fusion of diverse musical influences.
How to Sound Like Tilly Birds
Tilly Birds' sonic character is both vibrant and polished, with a melodic yet rhythmic foundation. Their music is marked by clean, articulate guitar tones, often enhanced by Bogner Wessex and 6 Degrees FX Rodeo Drive overdrive pedals that add warmth and texture without overshadowing the clarity of their melodies. The use of a Korg Prologue synthesizer introduces layers of analog richness, complementing the band's energetic and engaging sound. Their music thrives on a balance between tight, dynamic drumming and captivating vocal delivery, allowing Tilly Birds to craft songs that are both emotionally resonant and rhythmically compelling.
