TM NETWORK is a pioneering Japanese music group that emerged from Tokyo in the early 1980s. Known for their innovative fusion of New Wave, Pop rock, and Synth-pop, the band consists of three core members: Tetsuya Komuro (keyboards, synthesizers), Takashi Utsunomiya (vocals), and Naoto Kine (guitar). TM NETWORK played a significant role in shaping the J-pop and J-rock landscapes, infusing elements of Kayōkyoku and techno kayō into their sound, which resonated with a wide audience, particularly within the anime scene.
