Uncle Earl is an American string band that originated in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 2000. Known for their compelling blend of bluegrass, folk, and old-time Appalachian music, the band was initially founded by K.C. Groves (mandolin, guitar, vocals) and Jo Serrapere. The group's most recognized lineup features Kristin Andreassen (guitar, fiddle, ukulele, harmonica, vocals, clogging), Rayna Gellert (fiddle, guitar, vocals), and Abigail Washburn (banjo, vocals).
