Yuuf is a London-based instrumental quartet whose members come from England, France, Switzerland, and Denmark. The group features Anthony Boatright (bass), Hugo Cottu (guitar), Andrin Haag (handpan, percussion), and Oliver Overgaard (drums), and their music blends jazz, psych, ambient, world-influenced percussion, and groove-driven instrumental rock. Rather than centering vocals, Yuuf build their identity through interlocking rhythms, melodic guitar lines, and organic ensemble playing, giving their recordings a warm, transportive feel that sits somewhere between contemporary jazz fusion, downtempo psychedelia, and cinematic instrumental music.

Yuuf’s sound is clean, spacious, and highly rhythmic, with an emphasis on natural resonance over distortion. To get close to their style, focus on tight but relaxed grooves, where bass and drums stay locked in while hand percussion adds motion and detail rather than flash. The guitar work tends to be melodic, lightly effected, and textural, using reverb, delay, and gentle modulation to create width without washing out the rhythmic pulse.
