Zelienople is an experimental musical group originating from Chicago, known for their contemplative and atmospheric blend of post-rock, slowcore, ambient, drone, and neoclassical influences. Formed in the late 1990s, the band began with the collaboration of Matt Christensen (vocals, guitar) and Brian Harding (guitar, effects), whose immersive soundscapes attracted the attention of Mike Weis (percussion). The group later expanded to include P.M. Tummala (keyboards, synths, vibraphone), enriching their sonic palette.
