One of most versatile tube beasts out there!

The info about channels and features is all out there, so i wont get into that. Most amazing thing is that this amp with its 100W roaring power still sounds really great at bedroom levels. I am still looking to have it attenuated in persuit of more " tube driven woody tone", but its also great streight out of the box. It has like 9 distortions, so you dont need pedal, rather pair it up with something like MXR 10band EQ and dial in different form of distorted sound to get that tight punchy metal like sound, and you are golden ;)

you'll find that adding too much power amp compression/distortion thru an attenuator tends to sound funky and wrong on high gain amps, only the soldano stuff holds up well with the master wide open on the lead channel...

though I assume the lower gain settings will approximate a 1959 or 2203... also, an EQ in the loop will compromise your sound at higher master settings, stripping dynamics, adding solid state artifacts and noise

Thank you for your reply! As I see you have some experience with hi gain amps, would it be a good thing to have an anttenuator build in? Channels are much nicer that they are in stock JVM 410h, plus some new features Satch added, so im not looking to change that, only to push the amp more into the sweet spot zone, specially at low bedroom/practice with band volumes. Thoughts?
