Gerôme is a French lutherie workshop based in Mirecourt, the historical center of French stringed-instrument making. The Gerôme family began building instruments in the late 19th/early 20th century and was first known for Neapolitan mandolins before shifting focus to guitars. By the mid-20th century, the workshop was producing large volumes of mandolins and guitars, including the gypsy-jazz-style instruments for which the name is best remembered today.

Gerôme gypsy jazz guitars from the 1940s and 1950s — typically grande bouche (large oval soundhole) models inspired by the Selmer and Busato designs of the era — are the brand's most collected instruments. Built quickly with light bracing and often without formal model designations, they are commonly described in the vintage market simply as "Jazz Manouche" or "Gypsy" guitars. A rarer "Modèle Américain" variant also appears occasionally. The guitars are known for their light construction and characterful tone, though surviving examples often show top cracks attributed to the minimal bracing.

After the Gerôme brothers retired, the workshop's legacy passed to their apprentice Philippe Moneret, who trained at the Mirecourt lutherie school and worked alongside Lucien Gerôme before taking over the atelier under the name Ateliers Gérôme in 1996. The workshop continues to build and restore stringed instruments on commission in Mirecourt. Georges Brassens is among the notable French musicians historically associated with Gerôme instruments.
