Alright jim did drop the pedal and like you said what a dif. It makes, I will definitely try what you mentioned on the volume and tone controls on the guitar, I do have a Gibson les paul so no problem there with one that style as well as a prs and esp iron cross as well as a lag electric. So a variety of different sounding guitars and not one of them a clear cut fav. Oh and got to say I just came across a setting on the flanger for a talk box sound you know the sound that Frampton made famous back in the 70,s lol I had a great time playing around with that sound lol

Hey jim you did not bore me at all. I'm finding all this stuff I'm learning about amps and goes etc... Very fascinating. I do have to agree with you on the tube amp thing that there great and I'll never go back to a modeling amp again. I will try removing th pedal and see just what the dif is. Since I've gotten this amp I've never played so much, think I should have tried a tube amp years ago lol thanks so much for all your advice and have a happy holiday season.

Ok got a better understanding of it Jim thanks. And yea I can get such a similar sound to the Boston sound when it's all tweaked out right with the vox stompbox and now I added an ibanez airplane flanger as well I'm still working on the Hendrix sound as well as a rush sound. I had to disconnect my Kirk hammet wah pedal because sometimes it would throw off the sound I'm looking for at least for the time being

Hey jim I have no idea what you mean by 4 channel input from Marshall. The 1990 bugera has only one input jack in the front if that's what you refer to. I did some well looked into research on this amp before I traded my other and the reason I got that kind of deal was because it wasn't the store actually selling the amp, the owner had it on consignment there because he needed money. And the great thing about it is he had never played it,it had just sat in his living room. Guess he lived in an apartment and really couldn't play it because it's so damn loud lol. Hell I have it in my living room to but I have my own home and my son's say it vibrates there rooms upstairs only being set on 2 for volume of course those 4 12inch speakers help that lol

This goes out to Jim and anyone else who gave me advice on that behringer amp I used to have lol and for the sounds I was trying to get. Well I traded in that behringer vtone for an awesome sounding amp. A bugera model 1990 all tube head and a 4x12 bugera cabinet, what a hell of a better sound. As well as a ibanez airplane stomp box wow some very different sounds out of that. But as far as getting that Boston sound I like so much I found with this amp and a vox stomp box and a Kirk hammet wah pedal I can come so close to that sound. But the bugera all tube amp is such a better sounding amp.

And with Scholz going to M I T that didn't hurt him at all as far as knowing all this stuff to get that unique sound that Boston has.

This goes out to Mario Fernandez about the van Halen sound. I'm in no way a pro on this but I have recently purchased a vox ig stompbox and you can sit there and adjust between jazz through have metal while adjusting your gain and also to a sharper or flat sound. But in short this box will give you that vh type of sound or others that you maybe looking for. I got it because I was mostly looking for Boston's kinda sound and I can get somewhat of that sound just with that rather than having to go buy all those other needless pedals or stompboxes. Once I have the amp setup I'm looking for then the sounds will all fall right in. If your wondering what that might be well several choices fender,Marshall, mesa, and black star since blackstar is now made by Marshall. I tried them all out and they all have great sound. I would even say vox as well try that vox ig stompbox you won't be disappointed.

Thanks Jim for all the tech info I needed. I have the les paul part covered now it's just the smaller things to take care of after I dump this deerhunter vtone amp and pick up a fender tube and a mesa amp along with a vox. As far as the fender start goes well I have a 70,s copy of one that's actually a hand carved guitar and it always sounded great playing right handed but I guess I can give it a try restringing it as a lefty guitar and see just how it sounds after adding new fender pickups on it not to sure if I can play lefty but there's only one way to find out right, naturally I'm a lefty anyway but learned to play eighty so it will feel ackward at first.

There are several sounds I'm trying to find, the first is from the band Boston I know they use alot of different things but what about foot pedal wise, because I hear boss pedals are not worth it so what would be a good brand. Also im looking to get the sound of Hendrix with purple haze. I've heard he used a few pedals can anyone point me in right area for those?

Thanks narcist, I may even go with a mesa amp and see just how all my guitars sound with that. The one definite thing I can agree with is different pickups make for different sound I've noticed that.

Thanks for the advice people. I do have a small Marshall and small fender which sound great but just not enough wattage lol so from the replys I've gotten on this I'm too understand that a behringer amp isn't really worth much. Now from what I'm told and the reviews I've read are that the bigger voxs and fenders as well was the mesa stamps are the way to go. I also have a vox stomp box which really adds a bit more to my amp. And narcist I didn't get the good guitar before amp as I already had a few other very good ones. So thanks for th advice no I know I need to trade in this behringer vtone for something else.

I don't know about any of those questions lol because I'm still trying to figure how to get my behringer vtone amp set to the right parameters to get the sounds I'm looking for. For instance my esp iron cross in no way has a sound like James hetfield plays. Can anyone help me out with the vtone amp?
