Vintage Screamer

Really nice sounding, warm and vintage character. Can definitely get some chewy tube screamer tones, but has a little more flexibility than a stock 808. Only thing I wasn’t a fan of was how much bass it has inherently. I basically had to roll the bass knob completely off to get nice tones. When the bass is at noon, I found humbucker neck pickups so muffled and wooly they felt pretty unusable. Maybe it’d work for super strident bridge single coils. But with that said, once you drop off that bass knob, all the other tones it has to offer are really great. Single coils and humbuckers alike. Killer artwork too, and I always appreciate top mounted jacks. 🤘

Simple/cheap guitar that with a little age and the right strings can sound awesome

My first guitar, pretty cheap but sturdy little guy. After a few years of having this guitar get beat up and travel with me I decided to give it a little love. The solid spruce top had aged nicely and warmed up a bit. I set the action nice and low and added Elixir strings on it and since then it really sings. The tone is warm, crisp and quite resonant for such a low priced guitar. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it just because it's a "Starter Pack" guitar. I think the tone holds up against guitars double the price. I've got a $2K Taylor and I still enjoy picking this one up to play now and then. With a little setup it sounds great and is fun to play.

Killer full & balanced Taylor

All solid wood Taylor that has that distinct Taylor playability and articulation but with rich deep lows from the Mahogany top. The Grand Symphony shape gives it extra volume. It's a balanced beast of a guitar.
