Doesn't fail, just turn it on and it'll work. The actuation force for particular velocities are very accurate, especially for piano VST instruments from my midi.
Sure, louder volume will clip if you chose to connect to an audio interface, but it works perfectly fine for music production due to legendary sound stage, fun base, and balance in mids / highs.
