Like the summary states, its no tube amp...BUT if you're fond of Marshall amps and need a soild one on a budget, this is your guy. One setback that I've discovered is that, this amp ony accepts 2 types of footswitches. The "DFX two button" switch (one channel, one DFX) and the dreaded "one button" switch, which shuts down the FX portion of the amp....LAME!! Oh well. Unfortately mine, I bought used, came with the "one button" switch. Not entirely sure if it was supposed to, but who cares. At the moment, i can switch channels hands-free, so with that, I'm satisfied. 3 Stars.
To start with, this is just a phenominal looking piece of gear. Everything has been reliced, right down to the washer on the input jack! The finish as well. I don't know how they accomplished the task, but it just sings the blues right outa' the box. The semi hollow body paired with a set-in mahogany neck really makes this baby sing, and i mean for miles. The sustain is incredible. 5 Stars, easy.
I love this axe...hands down. The tones are as bright and noticable, or as ballsy as you like. I love the coil splitting as well. If you split the neck pup, it really gives you a nice strat sound without having to pay another $1000, or switch axes. The action is super smooth and playability is spot on. All in all, i give it 5 ones.
