Amazing

Pros: - super cheap licenses ($60 for personal $225 for commercial which is only necessary if you make 20k+ yearly off of the music you produce with Reaper) - super customizable and compatible with Windows, Apple, AND Linux. - has all the industry standard features that any producer would need, just doesn't come with all the pretty plugins that other DAWs come with. - can look a lot better than it does stock if you're willing to spend 5-15 minutes installing a theme (check out ReaperTips) - super low CPU useage, barely takes up any storage on your hard drive, and has very low latency, so it can run on older computers just fine.

Cons: - does not come with actual instrument plugins - can be difficult to learn because of how much customization is possible

Pretty decent

I ran these live for about 1-1.5 years and they are good for the price. They are mostly clear if you mix your ears well but the mids can get pretty muddy and the lows can be a bit overbearing. I think the boost in the high end is good but the low and high boosts might be more for fun than live practicality. I personally prefer the flatter response of the AS10s.

Very clear for the price and seems fairly flat.

I switched to these from the ZS10 Pros which were also great, but I play EG in a CCM setting so the boosted bass and high end did not benefit me nearly as much as the flatter response of the AS10s. EG is so much clearer, but things like the bass and vocals and other things in the low & high end also stayed very clear and crisp, almost feels like the ZS10s are more for fun than constant live use.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Very solid guitar.

I've had this guitar since 2019 and have had no issues with it yet. Survived a drop on stage with nothing but chipped paint, pickups sound great in metal and rock but can be dull especially with cleaner tones but not dull enough to avoid the guitar. Has been my main electric since I got it. Tuners aren't locking but I've never had tuning issues with it. I did lose the pickup switch cap and never found it though lol.

Beginner guitar that plays like a professional guitar

Saw this online listed at a pawn shop, so I went in with my Helix and plugged it in. Even with super rusty strings that were strung on upside down on the tuners and with a missing high E string, the single coils have a nice glassy tone to them and the bridge humbucker bites hard. Probably the best use of the $150 I spent. The neck plays great, no sharp frets to cut you and action wasn't bad. Maybe the person who owned it before me did some work on it, but I doubt it with the string situation. Never recommending a Squier to new guitarists again 😂.
