Very versatile, slightly obnoxious set-up
This is 2 Rats in one. You can choose between You Dirty Rat, Vintage Rat, and Turbo Rat in Channel A, and Clean Rat, Vintage Rat, and Turbo Rat on Channel B. You can use just one, if you want, or the other, or you can cascade Channel A into Channel B, allowing you to stack both Rats, or use both separately with different settings.
They're Rats, they sound great. Built sturdy, takes one 9v (you need an adapter because it uses a positive tip, not a negative/female tip that your power supply uses).
One con here is that if you want to cascade Channel A into Channel B, you're going left to right, instead of right to left like all of your other pedals. So you're going to have to do some patch-cable tetris if you want to fit this in. More annoying is I was putting this in the effects loop of my Synth, so I had to do double-tetris, it got messy on the board. For some reason you can't cascade Channel B into Channel A, which would have made things much easier. Otherwise, awesome pedal. Much cooler than having 2 separate Rats next to each other.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
I generally use Turbo Rat settings for both, because I find TR the most versatile. Sounds good for low-gain overdrive and really big and crunchy when you want to go for booming distortion/fuzz.
