Ah, yes... EverTune. Kudos for that alone.
cheers haha, it's not my first guitar with this bridge though https://scontent.flhr2-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/13263926_10153962668697745_6205422192051714143_n.jpg?oh=82ed9a6d605b5f4d72a188e93c98f94c&oe=5903FCFC

This is going to sound like a dumb question. If someone didn't like the sound of a guitar, why buy it?
Well I can't speak for anyone else but I've never bought a guitar from a store before so my first experience of the instrument is usually after a UPS/DPD/FedEx guy has delivered it. The epi I mention on the last page was my first guitar which i got before I knew what I liked in a guitar.

I've been thinking about building a neck thru of my own devising and was looking at trying an evertune since the whole affair will be a pretty modern design, particularly by my standards. The evertune concept is fascinating and it looks very well engineered and manufactured.
Sure although I don't envy you on the install, I hear they're a real pain for that but couldn't vouch for that one way or the other personally.

Oh damn, I haven't heard about the Evertune bridge since the guitarists from Rise Against did their Rig Rundown. How's it working for you?
Edit: These earphones are extremely uncomfortable... great sound quality for loud metal and such, but a bit too much bass for any clean and fun records.
They're on the rise in certain circles, Jari Maenpaa and Ola Englund (who designed mine) are two more names who are very into them at the moment but there are others. It's a handy little bridge and the set up wasn't awful despite it being kinda arduous to adjust properly.

Got a Washburn PX-Solar16ETC plays nice, sounds nice, evertune wasn't nearly as awkward as I thought it'd be.

what do you think of the kemper for lower gain sounds? It seems like, even moreso than the axe FX, metal/post-harcore/ultra-high-gain players rave about the Kemper, but I don't run into a lot of people saying it replaced a vintage AC30 or Tweed Fender on stage for regular rockin'.
Well I certainly fall into a high gain user demographic, at least in terms of my active projects. It's definitely perfectly competent at the high gain stuff but it does cope really nicely for the lower gain stuff also. Dave Weiner of Steve Vai's band is a Kemper endorsee for instance, there are some pretty good examples of how it holds up on Youtube. From what I've seen in Kemper's user group though there are plenty of lower gain Kemper users out there.
I suppose for the more established artists such as blues or country there's kind of a status quo to uphold in regards to analogue technology where possible and many of them are already endorsed by other companies making it even less likely they'd change. For the every day musician i do think there is a shift taking place across the board but again, we'll see i suppose. I personally feel the Kemper is a better product than Axe FX and the Line 6 in regards to replicating an amps sound.

Just got a Thon 8U rack for my Kemper, also got a Line 6 Relay G90, Furman PL8-CE and a 3U rack drawer to join it in said 8U rack.

not one I personally own but I used to have a friend who had a strat by Behringer, that thing failed in terms of tone, comfortability, stability and whatever else you could think of to rate a guitar on. The worst I have personally is possibly my Epiphone Les Paul Studio, it sounds decent enough and it's about as stable as anything else i guess but the neck is clunky and awkward given my preference for V and compound radius necks.

I personally feel that merging models seems the antithesis for a website that is designed to show the details of a musicians rig to be honest.

It'd be nice to have categories for the gear you own so it's not all just a list of stuff you have, would be nice to put it in named categories so i could distinguish what i use in particular projects or what is just gear i own and isn't part of my active rig.
