Vox AC15C2

It takes pedals really well. I'll run wah-OD-Distortion-delay chained in front of it. No problem. I've got both Vox and Fender. Looking at what you grew up listening to I'd say you listened to a much more Fender driven playlist. The 2 12 Fender combos are a helluvalot more expensive than the Vox in this side of the pond anyway. Either a Deluxe Reissue or the AC15C2 will do you right. It's up to your pocket and personal taste. Good luck. Daughters are good by the way. Got 2 of my own.

Vox AC15C2

I have an AC15C1 that I just love. It's also loud as hell. I'm just wondering why you want two 12s. It adds a couple hundred dollars to the price tag and you don't get any additional power or features. I pulled the stock Wharfdale from mine and spent the $100 on a Weber Blue Dog and this thing rattles the windows. Really, if you want that chimey sound I don't think anything but a Vox will do. Cheers.

Cheap Little Tube Amps

A little tube amp doesn't have to mean little tone. Fender Champ 5f1 amps are 5 watts. Vox AC4 is just what it says it is and it sounds fantastic. It doesn't have to be a point-to-point single end, but it should be all valve to get you the tone and value you want. Cheers
