As a beginner and just looking at starter equipment, i found this was the best because it's pretty universal to different DAW. Having the Akai MPK Mini makes making melodies so much easier.

When I first started using Cubase about a month ago, it was a bit of a challenge because I knew nothing about producing, but this program is fairly easy to use after the initial shock of opening it. the library is pretty easy to navigate and its been very fun to learn. Very customizable as well which is a plus. It looked pricy but very worth every penny. I do recommend getting a Steinberg Key though.
