I am so unsurprised, being able to trigger the sequence start would really get you there on an oddball 12 step sequencer.

I've always known it was either the Korg or Arp sequencer from the late 70s, but what I didn't realize was how difficult it is to dial in a precise pitch and keep it there on those old things. I always assumed the detuning was coming from them intentionally messing with the tuning of the synth itself.

Yeah, they're a pain unless you have another device that can quantize the cv.
