What kind of samples are you looking for? Synths, drums, vocals...?

I grab most of my samples from records.

Not a helpful reply. :(

Looperman usually has something worth stopping by. Everything in the sight too is royalty free, so you can mess around with it with no care. There are a couple sights that release their own free sample packs. CAPSUN has a decent starter pack with a couple of other engineers, Loopmasters has a free 136 sample pack on their page. www.loopmasters.com/genres/136-Free-Samples

I buy samples from Sample Magic: www.samplemagic.com and used Vegeance. If you register you get some free samples you can use.

For Maschine users the Expansion pack for Maschine are great. Including samples and some presets for Massive and drumsynths presets

Most Major producers using Vegeance samples: http://www.vengeance-sound.com/

If you're looking for drums and percussion, I recently found these two brilliant packs, one from Producer Loops, the other from Loop Masters. The first one is just kicks, over 500 deep and punchy kicks, superbly mastered. The second one is a collection of over 2,500 samples from just about every kind of percussion instrument (including drum kits). If you're willing to spend a small amount of money, they are incredible value. I've already used half a dozen samples from between the two of them.
