How to start ?

Soo my main question is how to start with EDM producing

I use FL Studio 12 and would like to produce Melbourne Bounce and Electro House Artist that inspire me are Dyro , Will Sparks , AronChuppa Martin Garrix etc. I used to make some simple HIP HOP beats , played piano and guitar when I was younger Do you have any good starting tips or tutorials ? What are the basics that I need to know ?

Thanks for help

You can look through the Edmproduction subreddit's Sidebar (https://www.reddit.com/r/edmproduction/wiki/sidebar/newbiefaq), and just hang around there from time to time to get some tips etc.

Make sure you've got a few decent VSTs, and a fairly good DAW.

There are a tonne of guides on the internet, but otherwise just play, around, and fiddle with stuff. I learnt most of my music skills from working out what works, and what doesn't, but I must say I've learnt a tonne, on this site, as well. It's an amazing resource, for all sorts.

His Equipboard checks out; he's got what he needs (at least for now).

I love how you Limeys spell 'tonne'

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

How would you spell it then? Ton?

I'm about to buy Numark N4 and Novation Launchpad S ... I know they arent the best on the market but my budget is small :D any better options in the same price range ?

I don't know anything about DJ controllers, but are you actually going to DJ? Production and DJing are really two separate skills. While you can do both, make sure you know what you want to do, and buy towards that.

I'm focused on buying DJ equipment because everything I need to produce listenable tracks is already there .

Well, you probably could use some other effects plugins (I'm basing this off of what you have on your Equipboard), but probably not yet. It sounded from your OP that you're just starting, what you need right now to produce listenable tracks, is time. You said you play piano and guitar, so you're ahead of the game, but you need to just produce stuff for a while to just get better. As you learn and get better you'll probably want to get different plugins etc.

Again buy DJ equipment if you plan on DJing (in the near future). If not then you'd do better saving your money and seeing what you can use a few months (at least) down the line.

Yeah but with DJ equipment I could faster make some money then with other plugins And I played piano and guitar when I was 10-13 now I play shit :D
