how to use protools plugins with a yamaha 01v96 without latency

hi hardware you need : yamaha 01v96 / protools hd 10 with 192 io digital / 1 microphone / two speakers.

  1. plug a microphone to the 01v96 going to a protools muted track.
  2. put the yamaha 01v96 at 96 khz clock and slave the 192 io with adat in (protools will se a valid 48 khz clock coming from the 01v96)
  3. put your protools 192 io setup like this input 1/4 5/8 9/12 13/16 and outputs as default.
  4. put a plugins as addictive drum and make a 4/4 rythm as the protools clic do
  5. record addicitive drum on the protools track and put the good negative value in "global midi offet" for having the addictive drum microphone record in the beginning of the protools time line. ( for me -1067 samples)
  6. record the protools clic alone as you record addicitive drum through the microphone and put a time adjuster plugins on insert and find the good value for having the clic record in the beginning of the protools time line.(for me 867 samples)
  7. put a rtas plugins as guitar rig on a protools track insert and record your guitar on a addicitive drum pattern.

i only have to insert a timeadjuster plugins on the guitar rig track and put 300 samples on it for having a perfect audio / midi sync.

now enjoy the power of plugins without any latency in your protools yamaha 01v96 system.

astonishing !
