MSQ700 + JX3P weird behavior.

Hey Jim. Yeah, I feel you. What works for some, might not work for others. What is beneficial to a select few, is harmful to the rest. I have to admit, according to personal experience, that if someone wants to function on it daily for a prolonged time period then it might be heavy mentally and it takes some control to be "normally" functioning. Since what it does under controlled conditions is that it further enhances your nervous system and deepens it... it's a thin line between going crazy and staying sane. I have no issues with that whatsoever. In my case, it just made me smarter and more profound in all areas. Maybe even more relatable. Since I find it hard to relate to the common folk, the "sad" state of society and its underlying, rotted factors that multiply with time... If you'd be trying then opt for something mellow. Street stuff is usually filled with poisons that induce these things you describe here. Maybe it's just chemistry, yeah. Every single body is designed from different DNA combinations so it's only logical in the end. Good examples are key to raising better generations than what we have ended up with now. The youth and even adults are corrupt and entailed in degenerative behaviors and visions. Seems like the common dweller can't decipher the root and common determinator but over more than tens of thousands of years, it was always like that as it goes in the same artificially designed cycles. If I told you that all that has passed, has already passed, and it only repeats itself you wouldn't believe me which is to say quite acceptable and understandable. Time isn't linear so.

I actually did consider designing one many times but I struggle with energy and motivation to strive for "the common chase" to accomplish and involve myself in the same things or venues that I have involved myself in for more years than any human life can account for. I have noted your hints though and they are most welcome. Maybe I should just outsource it to the hands of someone more experienced in these matters? Transformers and impedance matching is key in getting good results.

Great you are doing well. I can tell and I can imagine. It's what the long-running trends have left us with within the advent of computer mastering etc... I was recently reading a "flash story" about some "mastering engineer" who in my eyes is just a mere clown who got tasked with mastering some high-end band but he did not have the necessary equipment or listening conditions to do so... so he just took his laptop and mastered it in an Uber while driving through NYC for couple hours. The record itself sounds plastic and without dimension, or depth. What a failed effort. The workload-to-payment ratio in regards to that is what it was years ago as well to an extent. Some of the pro engineers... or let's say those that are pushed in marketing departments as well as in the engineering public space went almost fully that way and they mostly keep endorsing VST plugins and emulations that are quite far from the real deal. So in the end it landed in the money department. Art shouldn't be constrained by finances, money, fame, and such primitive motivations in my opinion. It's admirable that you respect and uphold your craft though. I think better than opting fully for a digital rig just for the sake of more gains. When art or music is based upon motivation guided by effort with the sole goal to achieve fame and a cash-out it usually descends into bad territory most of the time that's a fact. Trash Godz... cool project you have there.

I am tempted by the Minifreak right now which seems like a fun DW-8000-like synth with digital oscillators and stereo analog filters and more. I had most of the gear anyway so I am trying other things as of late. I already had one though and it was a cool synth truly. My collection is being prepared to get serviced finally. I really liked Mopho X4, still have it around. It deteriorates in time due to a faulty design choice in certain areas but it makes up for a nice dirty sound coating over the raw oscillator sound so for me that's a plus. (https://soundcloud.com/mnchrme/fall-out-of-time X4). It also corresponds well to external arpeggiator be it a self-generative one with complete random over everything and then layering that above the X4s built-in arp. So basically you get two that interact with each other. As for the high-class problems we sure do. I think it's better than being enveloped in the drama, and animal side of society that at the end only concerned about death, etc. If they only knew that death isn't a limiting factor to the existence or to being then they would probably reproach and reconsider their whole course. I eventually went for a Laphroaig 10 yo after our convo and enjoyed two glasses completely iced out. What a wonderful drink. I actually prefer it with a couple of cubes of ice as it smoothens the whole deal nicely and doesn't really hinder the aroma, texture, or finish of this lovely single malt. Happy Holidays!

A modest patchbay isn't that complicated to design but even using 1/4" in favor of solder in the back to tiny telephones out front there's a lot of margin for error with a modest 48 point set up. And you will make errors because you'll need to drink while you wire to avoid losing your mind. You get tired and reverse things and get very annoyed with yourself... but it can be done. Clearly labeling cables first is the key. Masking tape is your friend here.

On success. I would like to have some modest success so I'm more financially stable but that's the main reason. I had a brush with local fame in my old band and after being stalked by a college radio DJ that was enough for me. The older get the less I share stuff I've work on even with peers. Its probably not good advertising policy but there it is. If I ever endorsed or designed a plugin it would be something insanely practical and boring like an expander/gate with really adjustable time constants to an ADSR level of detail and envelope curves with God's side chain, a whole channel strip of processingfor the detector. Not glamorous but useful.

Happy holidays to you too!
