well hi I'm new to making music.

well I've learned/done it for a while I'm 14. the thing is i love using ableton live and do anyone have tips to help me getting better?? thanks for advice :D -also hi since I'm new here

Hi! Welcome :) Good to have you here.

In regards to your question, I'm mostly an FL Studio user, but I have used Ableton Live a few times before. I might be able to give you some more general advice on producing music, or if you've got a specific question relating to Ableton :)

If you want me to have a listen to some of your songs, or a work in progress, hit me up with a message on Facebook:

welcome! what instruments do you play or do you just compose 'in the box' so to speak?

I remember being a 14 year-old musician and it was such an exciting time in my life. My 1st piece of advice would be to try to enjoy and appreciate every moment of your musical journey. You may look back in a few decades and realize music was the one consistently rewarding thing in your life, so don't hesitate to stop and smell the roses.

My 2nd piece of advice is to collaborate with other people with more experience.

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

I've started music production a little under a year now..... I watch alot of tutorials..... since you use Ableton Live (I do too maybe one day we can collab lol) check Sadowick Production on YouTube

1 simple tip. Tutorials on youtube and other sites are useful but it can also be a distraction. Watch tutorials that you need and experiment asap before moving on to next. Simple right?

hello i'm a 14 year old boy from nepal. And actually i dont know what are abletons neither any thing about djing but iknow that i want to be a dj someday .I have a really deep interest in music mostly EDM and rap . And i hope to be a music producer one day so i thought joining this site would be helpfull can any body please guide me through this and help me with the idea of DJing

First off, you need to decide what you want to do. Producing and DJing are two separate skills, and while a nice amount of producers can DJ, not all DJs can produce. You can do both, but one does not need the other.

Now, if you want to produce, this is a good beginners resource: https://www.reddit.com/r/edmproduction/wiki/resources

I can't really think of something I should tell you before you start learning, except that you should be doing this (well, there is no should, this is really just advice) because you want to create music etc. Not because you want to ''be famous'', become the next Martin Garrix, or whatever. If you're doing it just for that you're going to become discouraged very quickly. Getting to any semi decent sounding level can take a long time (although that doesn't mean you want like what you're doing until then). If you do it because you love making music it will be an enjoyable journey (albeit tough at times).

Good luck!
