Artists of Equipboard, we want to hear your music

I cannae believe I'm actually about to do this, but after twice in the krankenhaus in the past month, I figure what have I got to lose?

There's my most polished song at the moment--just under a year old, I've sadly not had much time to work on aught else due to my health. It's called "Rain Under the Waves," and other'n ambient, I'm not really sure what else to call it. Soul of Ash is my musician name, feel free to play it if you like the vibe. I'm not about gaining a huge following or whatever, I think I have more followers on Twitter because of my human rights activism than my music, but having a few new ears hear something I did would be pretty neat. If it don't fit what you do, no harm no foul. I'm hoping to do some recording again in the coming weeks (health permitting), that may be more in line with what you're looking for, so if this ain't it, let me know, and I'll slip that your way if/when I get it done.

No worries. If you play it, let me know how to listen to it, I'll be sure to get you some people tuned in.

There are two options. First is to tune in live via this stream. My show airs every Wednesday at 8:00 AM EST this semester. The second option is Spinitron, which is where WZBC posts its shows' playlists and hosts a live chat during broadcast. You can listen to an archive of every show within a two week time frame. After that fortnight, they disappear. You can find my past show playlists here.

Have made sure to post it to all the relevant places and parties that care about my music, even some of the ones that don't (to rub it in). So hopefully you'll get a few more listeners!

The band is Orp, and the album title is "Unless We Sleep, We Can Hear the Tide Coming In". It's experimental, droney stuff. It's coming from Europe, so it might take a few more days.

Just sent our material on your way! Will leave it here also, if anyone else wants to hear it.

We are Deadman Dance. A power trio from Brazil, that uses a distorted violin instead a guitar.

Here you can hear our music: youtube playlist

Cheers everyone!

Are you still open to submissions, and do you mind submissions from someone who's given one before? (Fair warning, this'n's stylistically totally different than my last one, if you are in for it)

Also sorry if I'm reviving a dead thread. Been... out of the loop a bit dealing with all my health stuff. Hoping to get back in the swing of things here soon.

I'm glad to hear you're still with us, friend :) And you've got some new music too? Bonus!

I don't want to speak for eyesee, but I don't think anyone minds the necropost in the least.

Aye, I'm alive-ish. And not new music per se, dusted off an old one from the archives as an example to some "students" (read: people I'm trying to convince to take up recording their own music) as what can be done with crap gear and a little gumption), and a little love on the mixdown/mastering.

I'll post a link in the relevant forum, since don't want to off-topic it here, since now that I think on it, might inspire some people here to do the same thing I'm trying to get my mates to do.

Well... as I said, not exactly a new track, just one I re-eq'd, remastered, and polished up a bit.

There it is for the station.

There it is for here (was going to post it in another thread, but couldnae find one that wasn't... well, where it'd have been appropriate). Story of the song, if you're inclined for such a thing: wrote it after a falling out with a mate when an intervention went wrong. He took it badly, about as bad as could be. Less than a year later, his addiction had killed him. Wish I could have reached him, but should have, would have, and could haves don't bring back the dead, and less than 10% of people addicted to heroin ever go clear. So I wrote this one to cope with losing a friend, and buried it after we buried him.

Here lately I've been unable to do much recording, so I've been pulling out old songs I recorded on my old laptop with crap gear, and seeing if I can breathe new life into them by fiddling with the EQ, remastering, all that. This is the first of that project.

My uncle wrote this with his college roommate in the 80s. They recorded it as a covid file sharing project and when they were having trouble I did the mix and flew in some drum outtakes I had permission to sample:

The singer is the guy who bought that ramsa mixer from Robert Hazard.

Thanks for the info. Can you tell me: how do I add a video to an instrument's page? Can't find an "add" link anywhere. Thanks.
