Band Profile Photos

Is there a way we can send band photos of bands submitted without photos?

There are band photos without profile pictures. Is there a way to upload the photos after the band has been submitted without the initial band photo?

I'm pretty sure you should be able to click 'edit' somewhere on the band's page and add a photo... ummm, give me an example and I'll take a look later on

I know you can edit the individual musician's profile picture (if it's not added already), update their bands, and social media accounts. I don't think you can update a submitted band's photo after the initial band name submission.

Type in the band "Creye", for example. Please don't compare me to your 5 year old either. I submit a ton on this website. My English was pretty clear.

was that a typo? "Creye" doesn't pull anything in our search

I think I can give an example - try "The Cure". It doesn't come up as a band on its own in the search, so I'll link directly to the page:

I can't see a way to edit the band photo from that page, and it currently just shows a blank/default. But I also can't see how to edit other details for the band, like adding Twitter / Soundcloud etc. (Unless maybe I don't have enough Gear IQ to qualify to edit band listings?)

The cure without a photo? blasphemy! do you have a blue link "edit group details" next to the picture? If not I'll fix them all for you when I have a sec this week, make me a list of bands that need fixing. On the other hand, if you do see the aforementioned link? well the rest should be self explanatory, but! when you get to the "edit group details" page your first option is to upload a group picture.

Try it with the cure and if it doesn't work we'll take it from there. Now a question with the cure is what era cure should one picture?

Nope, no blue "Edit Group Details" link, that would fix everything! I've only got that link on individual artist pages.

As for a list of bands without photos, shortest answer is "a lot"... probably easier to set it up so we can edit & help you out! But here's a few that probably should have photos:

its caught on ina pretty big way already... we were on CNN a year or 2 ago!

what do you need fixed pic wise? give me URLs and I'll see if I can find rpess shots for the bands in question and fix them

I didn't have any pics in mind - maybe I'll regret this, but I trust your judgement Jim! ;)

Honestly my own interest wasn't photos, more in adding website / social links for bands. I've been discovering new bands from some of the gear video submissions here on Equipboard, so having band links is useful. But no worries if editing bands needs mod privileges! I just thought it might have been a bug in the site.
