Cry-baby wah or Vox?

I have been looking for wah pedals to add to my pedalboard for psychedelic rock, prog rock and blues, and I can't decide between the two. Are there any main differences? Any advice for my genres?

I was watching this video "VOX V847 Wah vs Crybaby Classic wah guitar effects pedal shootout" and I can't tell a damn difference between the two 😁

Not sure if you guys care about the history, but starting at 4:58 in this documentary about Cry Baby, it tells the story about how Cry Baby and Vox pedals evolved from the effect creator himself.

Yes, there are differences between the two. The stock Vox (847a) is a little brighter and the standard cry baby (cgb95) is a lil fatter. I'd recommend you trying the Dunlop Cry Baby 535Q, it's true bypass, it has a lot of easy access tonal options and you won't break the bank.

Orlando

Cry-baby wah. Have one. Best 50 Dollars I've ever spent.

Have Cry baby, love Cry Baby. Friend has Vox, loves Vox. Not much in it really. Both go wah and are reliable, not expensive and sound great

Cry Baby all the way for me. Affordable, sounds great, does the job. AND they just announced the Cry Baby mini - supposed to be the perfect size to fit onto a Pedal Board. Can't get much better than that.
