Equipboard admins please fix this. I like this site but if I see you are not taking care of it I'll stop using it.

What specifically are you referring to as spam on that page?

This site is about equipment used by (from the front page): Music Producers · Guitarists · Drummers · Bassists · DJs · Rappers · Composers · Keyboardists · Singers.

What I see on this page is a bunch on non-equipment related items posted by users who are posting apparel (not equipment) used by characters in movies or cars owned by musicians. This is not what this site is supposed to be about.

When Equipboard started we allowed people to submit any type of gear to any type of person – actors, musicians, chefs, athletes, etc. Over time, we learned that most people were interested in contributing information to musician pages. We've since shifted the focus of Equipboard to only musicians and the gear they use.

You're right. Equipboard isn't about much of the stuff on that page now.

The categorization change we recently made was our first step towards moving away from cataloging the offending items on the page you referenced. It'll be an ongoing process getting them removed, but it's something we're actively working on.
