Fender is buying studio gear company PreSonus

Ohhhh this is the news of the day, for sure. :)

Personally, a couple folks I used to work with have been at Presonus for at least a decade now, so I'm very happy for them. This news made my morning. To get acquired by a company with Fender's name, but without having to become part of a public company (Fender never had that IPO, mercifully), bodes well for the people at Presonus, and for the continued health of their products.

Studio One users (I know you're reading this), what are your thoughts?

My thought is wow! Here's hoping PreSonus' tech doesn't change dramatically.

It’s good to see a brand’s future be secured in this way. I felt the same way about Sequential’s acquisition.

They've been going downhill since eureka so fender can't break what's already broken. They're way more 'sumer than pro now and their best products are geared to live praise and worship with multi track archiving. Whatever.
