Jeff Buckley's Pick

I know who Jeff Buckley is,,, but he is not known for his touch on guitar.

Thanks !! By the way Im 17 years old :D

I am happy SOMEONE understood the reference.

we all got it... not everyone is a fan of Cornell's other band, it was tough to take it seriously after growing up with THIS

Well, yay for everyone that got it then.

Lets hope he got at least two Jeff picks or there will be an auction

I'm sure I have 2 yellow ones unless someone stole them from my apartment in DC before I moved back to Philly. If I can't find more than 1 to sell its going to be 1st come 1st served though, which means Hickiracki-dude-guy who started the thread gets it

He will, man. The guy claimed to have a few picks. And we will get them, for certain.

you guys are impossibly young, aren't you?

party on, Wayne

Of course, I understand that if you find only one of the yellow picks Hickiracki-dude-guy will get it. But I am confident that there will be one yellow pick for me, too.

I am trying to decide which of you 2 kids is the lamest, and I think its you by a longshot.

EDITL:

I am just being a dick, sorry, this whole pick thing is such a source of mirth for me... I can't help being a 'wind up' as Liam calls me

You should probably speed up your search, it sounds like you're suffering just a tad bit!

I can wait for couple more weeks, it's ok.

oh, thanks for your time table, Your Highness... I'll just get right on this as soon as I get home!

Hey man,

It's been two weeks and two days... Found those picks?

I just put my 2 year-old to bed. Yes, I am a single dad. I have very limited free time that doesn't involve the boy and despite the fact that I really oughta clean the motherfucker out, I don't want to spend ANY of my time rooting around my un-ventilated attic in the hottest, most humid weather Philadelphia has seen in years.... particularly for a couple of strangers who haven't even told me what they will pay for the damn picks.

In fact, I am feeling kinda pissy about your pestering and suspicious of your intentions, so when I do get around to going in my attic and turn up those picks while cleaning up.... you aren't getting one. Other dude can have some, but I won't sell them to you at any price, clockwatcher. Why don't you go make so memories of your own, but before you start why don't you....

also, were you buckley memorabilia searching on goggle when you came across this thread and only then joined equipboard solely to hit me up for my stuff? Don't answer, I know you did or you woulda contributed to the site or at least your profile by now. Shame on you. Be glad I'm not your dad. Now get off our website unless you plan on making a contribution!

You got creative badass style on comments Mr. Jimmarchi1 :D

Hello there, Now I thoroughly understand that you are a single Dad with "very limited" time for himself, but who can write "thoroughly-long-rude-messages-to-people-he-doesn't-even-know".

I was intending on paying. And my intentions have been nothing but honest. You have no reason to feel pestered or angry at my "clock watching" because your own comment said two weeks and you may find the picks. I am just checking up on your long, drawn out process of thinking about cleaning out your attic. Which in my case, is a right thing to ask. Otherwise, another two months could've gone by.

These are your picks, and it is your choice on whether or not you give one to me.

There is no shame here. I did join EquipBoard when I saw this thread. What's the big deal? It's a website MADE for SHARING. I was happy because I thought that maybe I could have a piece of something special Jeff Buckley left. A guitar pick, because playing guitar is special to me and so is Buckley's music.

It takes 5 minutes to be rude to you from my desk at work, even in multi-paragraph form.... and get paid to do it. I spend a lot of time on hold with insurers and physicians at work trying to get prior authorizations for increased HHA and SN care to help out the families of chronically ill children. I have hours of time tied to my desk trying to entertain myself on the web, waiting for my turn to get a polite no or be blown off by a lazy RN who can't be bothered to open a medical chart and fax some test results. It takes a little longer to post from my phone in othersituations, but not much as I am finally getting good at touchscreens. Its also much less tiring to post to a forum than crawl through a hot attic looking for a tiny piece of yellow plastic. You are being intentionally obtuse just like when I said something like 'possibly in 2 weeks, but my priority then will be making music with my friend (which is what I did Saturday, thanks for asking)' and you said "okay, so in 2 weeks then." But whatever, I'll make this brief:

So you admit to joining our wonderful gear site just to get your hands on my memorabilia? Well, forget it.

I am so sorry I told that other kid I had these picks and I have been ever since he asked me to send him a couple. I have been pestered by more people than you 2 because I was foolish enough to put give other guy my email address.... now before I forget I need to delete that reply I made to him so I don't get anymore people begging me for picks.

Seriously, I think this ridiculous.

I simply just asked if you had found the picks yet. A general, normal question.

Yes, I joined this website because I found out a guy has some Jeff Buckley picks that don't matter to him. And I want one. Why have you got an issue with that? This is a website MADE for SHARING. I'm a person like you and everyone else.

What's the problem with wanting one special pick you have? The powerful energy on those picks of Jeff Buckley is undeniable and I want it a lot. It's not just memorabilia to me that I will frame and show off on my wall for people to look at. I will use it and cherish it forever.

This is crazy. Because music is meant to be about sharing experiences and love. Jeff Buckley used those picks with a love for music in his spirit and heart. I just don't understand why you are being unfair. All I want is one pick. And yes you are kind enough to be okay with the thought of selling them. Those picks matter to me.

It has been almost a decade, so my expectations are not high. But I stumbled upon this thread whilst looking for exactly this- I’m 21 and I moved out to LA to pursue a career in music. Buckley is one of my biggest influences and I understand how rare it is to find something like this. Simply being able to hold something that at some point he used would mean the world to me and if there’s a chance you still have one of these laying around, words would not be able to describe how much one of these would mean to me. Please let me know!

Hope you’re doing well and that these years have been nice! Thank you,

Jack H.

I did find them along with other artist's picks some time ago, but when I did I thought better of getting rid of them... I just don't want to deal with the logistics of selling these tiny little keepsakes via the internet or the personalitiesinvolved. I don't know what they're worth anyway. Whatever it is it's not enough to cancel out the hassle.

I really appreciate you getting back to me! Maybe you get it, maybe you don’t, but I can’t express enough to you that if you are willing to do this for me it would change the way I perceive everything. Having something of this much personal value to me would be incredible. If you find the will/time to help me get my hands on something like this, it would mean the world. Thanks so much, again. I understand the hassle and again I appreciate you getting back to me. Bless you!

but you're clear that I said no to you, and I mean it, right?

I don't want to deal with this, once the OP made me feel uncomfortable, I really regretted even mentioning I have a collection of picks from famous artists of the 90s and earlier (and as the thread shows, when he was bugging me regularly to search for the pick collection, I really lost my temper with him, but I should have said they weren't for sale when I couldn't locate them easily). Mentioning my keepsakes was just a colorful aside on another thread many years ago. I was just making chitchat with acquaintances. Was I tempted to find them and sell some when the OP started this thread? For a hot minute, it was rough financial patch, but the level of obsession was WAY too high. I've decided to retain all of my keepsakes and allow my son to dispose of them when I'm gone. Sorry to disappoint. Since this incident my policy is that my possessions are not for sale on equipboard unless I create a sale thread with a link to reverb or ebay... which happens from time to time. Thank you.

Jeff played with his fingers half the time IIRC
