Notifications Error in my Menu

In the last weeks a have a strange error in my menu and request mods help. System shows me a new notification (red one sign). But when I'm entering in Notifications menu there is no new item or message. How can I turn this off?

Give it some time the admins didn't say they fixed it yet. This happens all the f@rk!ng time.

Per Jim's earlier comment, only the Admins/Founders can fix this, and even then, not all the time. You may just have to wait until a site update just purges it naturally.

I've personally had it persist for months on my account. It's annoying, but... I survived.

We don't aim to disappoint but we're proud to let you down even unintentionally.

Seriously though, this is an ongoing issue that plagues certain people, myself included. It's been discussed ad nauseam and will hopefully be sorted out for good as Michael and Giulio revamp equipboard.

Are you clearing your cookies on a regular basis? That seems to take care of the phantom unread messages for me... usually.

Cleaning / deleting my cookies will bring no positive effect to my issue, no.
