Pending review!

Hey guys, one questions, the last few submissions I've made are still pending review, but I've gotten the GearIQ for them, why is that? Will they ever get approved?

These are some examples: http://equipboard.com/pros/tomo-milicevic/electro-harmonix-tube-zipper http://equipboard.com/pros/tomo-milicevic/mxr-m173-classic-108-fuzz-pedal http://equipboard.com/pros/tomo-milicevic/devi-ever-soda-meiser

Short answer...

Yes.

But I was wondering why I was getting the GearIQ, before I would only get them after the submissions were approved. Is this how ir works now?

System was reworked to fix this. Basically, you get GearIQ for submissions, but you still have to wait and get it approved. I imagine that if your submission wasn't up to par, your GearIQ lowers.

Trust the EB team.

Oh ok, that's cool. Sounds good to me haha.

I noticed that too, but did not think to ask. I guess a better question would be, what are Gear IQ points and why do they matter? Do we get a prize for obtaining a high number? It doesn't look like they are related to post count in the forum, so it's not a sign of how long someone has been active ...

I don't think there's a special hidden prize or anything like that. I believe it's only a way of keeping record of how much a person has collaborated in the site, be it by reviews or by submissions. In a way there's also this social recognition and reward, because if you have lots of GearIQ points it means that you've collaborated a lot which in turn means that you know a little bit about guitars, pedals, gear, etc. Other than that... I think that's pretty much it.

Pretty much what he just said is correct.
