But don't '70s Grecos generally look like most other clone guitars made by FujiGen, Matsumoko, or in this guitar's case, Chushin?

Typically, but I've seen a lot of oddballs, particularly SG and LPjr type models that are their own riff on a Gibson format. Invariably they're the cheap ones. The middle and high ranges were pretty slavish to specific years in appearance and the most expensive ones supposedly reproduce almost every possible detail of a single example they used as a blueprint. And then they had Gibson inspired original designs. I used to own one. Sold it to Ace Freely's tour manager.

But I digress. I was just commenting that the pics reminded me of some grecian I've bumped into.

Sure thing! This app you've built looks great.

Link me to the screenshot you'd like to use, and the exact product copy you'd like to use for the details section of the entry, and I'll make it happen. keep in mind that the first few lines of the description are going to be what everyone is able to see without clicking "more..." -- aka "the only lines anyone ever reads".

The reason users can't add discontinued products before they reach a score of 500 is that the site got hammered with tons of people adding very specific models... which is a problem for 2 reasons:

  1. It complicates users who want to use this site to see "which artists use product x, vs. which artists use product y"... as the results are all branched and bifurcated into entries that differ only by model year and finish color.

  2. The more gear entries we have that only have 1 or 2 users or artists associated with them, the further down the search rankings content from this site sinks. Search engines penalize sites with lots of "dead end" pages, apparently. I'm just an unpaid volunteer with no ownership stake, but I want to help these guys keep the lights on, as it's a nice chill community of passionate people.

So, this is me over-explaining why I'm not going to add a left-handed entry for a model we already have too many entries for. I have nothing against the lefties of the world. My father was a lefty. It's just a business decision I'm asked to help support.

Given the circumstances, how offensive is it for me to ask you to live with the right-hander entry?

Go ahead and add one of the colors from Sweetwater. After it's added, go back and Edit it, remove the color for the title, so it can be used by anyone with this same model.

At the same time, you can swap out the photo for a nice pic of your exact color... it's your right, as the first person to add this model. Let everyone else kick sand about it being the wrong color in the Equipboard, lol.

Let me know if you have any issues adding or editing.

And here's a description block:

AbleSet is the easiest way to manage and control your Ableton setlist. Control your Ableton set from any device. Reorder songs as you please. AbleSet lets you focus on delivering fantastic shows.

Create Your Setlist in Seconds: AbleSet uses the cues or section clips of your Ableton project to create your setlist. Use the setlist notation to define songs and sections, add comments, loops, stop points, and more.

Reorder Songs as You Please: Quickly reorder and exclude songs from your setlist, without needing to touch the Ableton session. AbleSet calculates the total duration and lets you know how long your set will take.

Use Your Computer, Tablet, or Phone to Launch Songs: Since AbleSet runs in the browser, it can be used on any device that's on the same network as your computer. This doesn’t require an internet connection. Want to use AbleSet on multiple devices at the same time? That's no problem. Everything happens in real time.

Stay Informed With the Performance View: The performance view gives you all important information about your setlist at a glance. Quickly see the current and next song, work with notes, and control playback in a minimalistic interface that's perfect for on-stage tablet use.

Control Multiple Computers for Redundant Playback: If you're running a redundant playback system with two or more computers, AbleSet can simultaneously control them through AbleNet. No matter which of your machines might crash, your show will keep running.

Control AbleSet With Your Stream Deck or MIDI Controller of Choice: If you prefer to control playback from your MIDI controller instead of your phone or tablet, AbleSet lets you do that with its built-in MIDI mapping or complementary Max for Live device. AbleSet also supports Elgato's Stream Deck and you can combine all methods to create the setup that best suits you.

Add Lyrics and Chords to Your Live Set: Quickly create synchronized lyrics for your songs using MIDI tracks in Live. AbleSet has support for multiple lyrics tracks, chords, and custom formatting, and comes with a handy tool to synchronize lyrics to your songs without having to manually create clips for each line.

Create Your Own Performance View: Every artist needs different information on stage. The new customizable performance view allows you to choose exactly what you want to see per device, so singers can see the song title and lyrics while your MD can see the current timecode and quick play buttons to jump to sections.

Split Your Set Into Multiple Ableton Project Files: AbleSet allows you to split your session into one Live project per song. This is useful if you don’t like using one big project file containing all songs.

View the Current State of Your PlayAUDIO12: If you’re using a PlayAUDIO12 in your redundant setup, AbleSet now displays its current status in the setlist and performance view and allows you to toggle between your main and backup computer quickly.

Create Dynamic Guide Tracks: AbleSet 2 allows you to create guide tracks that automatically get muted when you cue a section that is not the next one, to not confuse anyone on stage. Additionally, you can create a loop guide track that only gets unmuted when the current section is being looped.

Use Additional Jump Modes: In addition to jumping to the cued song or section directly or when the current section ends, AbleSet can wait for the current song to end or for playback to stop before jumping. This is handy for cueing the next song you want to play without having to make changes to your setlist.

Control AbleSet Using OSC: AbleSet can be completely controlled via OSC. This allows you to build your own custom controls and automate your playback setup using TouchOSC, Open Stage Control, or any other tool that supports OSC.

Let me know if this all looks and sounds good to you. I'm looking forward to your reply!
