Producers & Remixers

Thought it may be a good for all of us to share tips and quick reviews on our own productions and remixes.... Here I go with my version of Royals by Lorde... although I'm sure there are plenty of them already :)

I think this is a great idea for a feed :) I also think you were pretty brave to put your music out to us all first because I know I find it difficult to show people my music :L I don't know much about remixes so I can't really give any tips but the production sounded spot on to me :) I guess I'll share my proudest work then, a five track EP containing all the work I hadn't actually released (until now obviously.) Here it is: https://soundcloud.com/thejameskellymusic/sets/the-unreleased-unidentified-articles-ep Hope you enjoy :)

It was extremely difficult for me at first but I realized that sharing is what matters... Many of the tracks I put up are in no way finished... Another common problem is that if it was for me a track is never ready :)

I'll check your track in a few minutes and then post back ! thanks

I agree sharing is important, although personally I always need to finish my work, even if that sadly means compromising quality at the final stages. If I have an idea I really want to share it, so sometimes my tracks are not as good as they possibly could be, although I'm definitely improving on that I think. Okay dokay let me know what you think :D

Hey ! Liked them all, you have good song structure. 2nd and 4th track are your bests in my opinion. Do you play an instrument or have music knowledge ?

Keep it up man... Perhaps we can collab? If you use Ableton (daw I use) we only need to hook up through Dropbox.

Haha thanks :) no I don't actually, I used to play guitar but I was awful, and I had compulsory music lessons at school for a while, but most of it is self taught. Yeah I use Ableton Live Standard and my only plugin is FM8 so it could be easy enough :) I'm on holiday at the moment and don't have my laptop and then next year in school for me is really busy but I could probably find time.

My tip: Don't focus what software and/or hardware your favorite producer(s) is using. Follow your own path.

You make more intresting music with limited equipment/ software then when you have a lot.

Hello all..Good to join this movement....I hope to learn a few things and share a few things..... First up, please visit my website... www.doxologymusic.net warmest regards!!!
