Should acoustic guitar amplifiers be a category?

From my personal experience, there's nothing wrong with plugging an acoustic with most kinds of pickups into a big clean amp. But the dedicated acoustic guitar amp is a niche manufacturers keep exploring despite rarely seeing these amps in the wild. Should this be something different from the combo guitar amplifier?

Yea Amplifier are hard , some are even build for more then just one Instrument like for Guitar, Keyboard , ....
also there are Bass Amplifier who are more used as Guitar Amplifer , so where to put them ? Its hard , sometimes i cry - hahaha was a Joke, i do not cry.

Acoustic Amps feels also wrong to put them just in Guitar Amplifiers , not all of them , but some just stand for themself you can never use with another Instrument then Acoustic Guitars.

When we put them all in Guitar Amplifier someone searching for an Acoustic Amp will never find one also they pill up there is bad for People looking for an E-Guitar Amp.

Thomann and some Shops got also Acoustic Amps separated.

And on our Site it would make even much more sense, because a shop got about 40 Amps where you will find your Accoustic Amp between, we got 1000 of Amps not a Chance, without Search Engine.

IMO yes they should be, as the voicing is generally quite a bit different than an electric amp. Also, they will have features like feedback control since this is a big issue with amplifying acoustics. The reverb on acoustic amps a lot of times will run in parallel with your tone because that works better with acoustic, and I don't think electric amps generally do that. There are also brands like Fishman that I believe only make acoustic amps. My .02!
