Soundcloud integration
Someone had suggested promoting music via contests or what have you, but I have a simpler, and possibly better idea. You can already link to your Soundcloud page but how about a section on your profile a.k.a. Equipboard page specifically for certain tracks you want to showcase on this site. Enforce a limit of about 6-10 tracks. They can be easily embedded into whatever web code this site is running and the dimensions can be specified.
Set it at that limit for website formatting reasons. Our soundcloud has 180 tracks on it. Would you really want us to put all 180 on our Equipboard page? :)
Not necessarily the most recent but that's one way to go about it. If users have a Pro or Pro Unlimited account you could pull from the 5 spotlight spots. We use playlists in those. So if users on Equipboard wanted to have more than 6-10 songs on here they could simply put them into a playlist and embed that onto their page. The first spot on our soundcloud is for an album that will be released on November 17, and it has 18 tracks. Sometimes I put single tracks into the spotlight but mostly I just use playlists.
