Submission Deletion

Hi, I'd like to delete this submission: https://equipboard.com/submissions/452466

I realized relatively recently that it is incorrect and have added a new submission that is more correct.

Just realized I put the wrong link. It now goes to the submission rather than the page for the gear itself.

I just marked compeltely incorrect, now any other Mod can delte it... @pkennethk @hashimoto

I don't think we have that ability yet...

From what I can tell from the other thread, admins seem to have the ability to? I'm not sure.

of course they do, but there was notice they were giving us the ability to do it recently and I thought it was implemented, but I guess not yet? my bad, redfire

I can just Edit submission or Rate. Sorry.

I confused his TC-Electronics G-Major with the D-Two model, which look almost identical.

I've now uploaded the correct gear, but I'd like to remove the incorrect entry. Thank you very much.

Thanks for letting us know. I have marked the original D-Two submission as incorrect and approved the new G-Major submission.

The D-Two submission will no longer appear on Issei Noro's Equipboard unless a user specifically chooses to turn off their incorrect submissions filter.

I've had a few incorrect submissions myself over the years, everyone here has... at first it seems strange that you're forced to live with your self-reported mistakes, but you'll learn to live with it.

As of right now, only the Admins can delete submissions, and they generally only delete when someone has posted completely inappropriate/offensive material of zero value. I've never seen an honest mistake like this get deleted.

By the way, your submission for the G-Major was superb. You listed the exact min:sec and you even had the video cued up to the right spot in your YouTube link. THANK YOU!

I stand corrected, Michael (founder/admin) has granted some deletion requests in the thread below. Posting to this thread may be worth a try if you still feel strongly about removing a mistake you made:

As for Issei Noro, I wanted to keep everything as up to date as possible. Some pieces of gear aren't listed on Equipboard and don't have their own dedicated pages on Reverb—they only appear in individual sales listings. I'll see if I can gradually add the missing gear to the Equipboard database. At the same time, I don't want to keep bothering you admins with custom submissions all the time, so I wanted to ask:

Is there a thread where I can post a list of gear that should be added to Equipboard, along with direct links to Reverb, eBay, etc., as proof that the items exist? A bulk importer would be amazing, haha.

I'll also see if I can work on the other members of Casiopea later, but for now, one step at a time. 🙂

Once your EB IQ score is over 500, you will see an option to add niche/discontinued/boutique gear when you go to Add > Music Gear. The option will be a tiny blue link under the big orange "Next" button.

I just finished approving a few more of your very careful and thorough submissions, so you are now over 500. :)
