What about sizes?

Hey, what about adding a sizes for equipment? So just like Versus, you can compare equipment, also by its size (for instance: https://versus.com/en/asus-rog-phone-5-vs-huawei-p10 , on pictures of the two products, there is an "expansion" icon, and when you click on it, it show you the two GSM side by side).

GEAR:
  • Codanova VMX V64
  • Ableton Push
  • Korg microKONTROL

Dude, just buy the iPhone.

GEAR:
  • Roland TR-808 Rhythm Composer
  • Roland SH-101
  • Roland TR-909 Rhythm Composer

Nah, but I'm not talking about phones, but equipment in general. It's hard to have an actual size reference online. (And how can I install postmarketos on iPhone >:) )

I knew what you meant, I was just being a jerk and giving you a hard time. (forgive me).

Help me understand why knowing relative size of music gear is so important to you?

I have to check the size specs of anything I plan to put on a stand or squeeze onto my workstation table, but that is absolute sizing, not relative sizing.

I don't get why relative sizing would be so handy.

I got it.

It would be useful for mixers. Some consoles or even little tabletop jawns just don't fit in a cramped workspace. I have the mixer I have because it was the best balance between floor space, channel count, sound quality and price. Maybe size could be important for larger keyboards. Some are pretty damned big.

Right, but isn't that absolute dimensions, not relative/comparative sizing? Needing to know the dimensions so you know if it fits or not I'm 100% onboard with. I have to check dimensions on everything I buy. I just don't get the gear-to-gear sizing comparison thing.

Well it can help you to see the scales. And there are some stuff that looks way bigger or was smaller than the actual thing (And it would also be a cool exclusive feature).

I'm usually a tape measure guy myself... if you want to have a gear measuring contest it's the right way... now take it off and show me your rack!
