Big Muff

So I'm trying to find a decent setting for the Big Muff that works for almost anything. Anybody have some good setting ideas I can try?

if you want a smashing pumpkins type of tone, max out the sustain, set the tone a little on the treble side of things and set the volume at the middle. works well for that. I really don't think there is a setting for playing anything and everything. just have a play and get what you like. A decent setting is volume at 12o clock, ton e around 11 or 12 o clock and sustain around 3 or 4 o clock. sounds great!

try throwing it in the toilet for an hour while you're at the store auditioning pedals that cut through a band

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

I actually don't think that's the Corgan/Iha siamese dream sound... if you search the itnernet the guy even explains it in a recent EHX video. Demosntrates the whole thing with that new op-amp big muff nano

I saw the settings on some fan page or something on a older big muff claiming to be a picture of his one. Wether or not it was i don't know, I haven't tried copying his distortion sound anyway, I like having my mids there
