Disney ripping off Vai, not really sure what to say about that.

Does that mean he's officially made it?

Oh I know they know about copyright issues. I don't know that the JEM is copyright per se, the body would fall more under trademark I would think--and even then I'm not sure if it is. That's a whole 'nother thing.

Anyroad you walk it, I hope you're right about it actually inspiring kids to pick up an actual guitar--and who knows, maybe the shape of it will stick in their minds, and they'll see an actual JEM, or one of the sleek new PIAs, and be like "Yup, that's the guitar for me!" and will start to play.

I know my kid was inspired by Dave Murray from Maiden--but ended up swapping to piano. ;.;
