diving into pedal boards...

Hi! So basically in the last year I've gotten really into music production and performance. I've been involved in music for awhile, but never seriously (until now). I'm mostly looking for advice on understanding pedal boards and they different effects you can create with pedals in general. I know literally nothing about this side of music and have no idea where to even start! ANy advice or help would be greatly appreciated. (also sorry if that was incredibly vauge LOL)

this seems t be a recurring question lately... but a mpassable multi FX to find out whate verything is and what it does. Its the msot economical and effective way to do ti I think. A line6 M series, TC Nova system or soemthing like that. Don't go with something of-brand and cheap. The Nova system is ncie ebcause the overdrive and distortion are analog ad sound downright good being a basically a TS9 and a Rat, 2 of the msot ubiquitous dirt boxes of all time.

Maybe get a book? Books are filled with information...

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

I would go through a list of pedals on a website, look them up on youtube, and see what they all sound like. I don't think it should too complicated. When you hear a tone or sound you like in a song, look up what pedals they used and what pedals people on youtube use to cover those songs.

Yeah I was thinking a book might help a lot, maybe a pedal boards for dummies ???? (I wish), do you have any reccomendations? Also thank you for the reply!

Thats actually what prompted me! I was watching a video and I loved the sound of the guitar, but you couldn't tell what pedal she was using. but the youtube thing is a good idea, thank you!
